Steps for making French Press coffee
1. Prepare coffee and water
For French press, use 1 gram of coffee per 17 ml of water. For a 500 ml French press, use about 30 grams of coffee.
For water, use hot water of about 93 degrees. *If you find that the coffee is too weak, you can reduce the proportion.
2. Grinding coffee The recommended grinding for French press coffee is usually coarsely ground coffee, but we recommend grinding coffee in the size of a filter or sugar in coffee.
*You can adjust or increase the grind size if you find that the coffee is bitter. Or too sour
3. Start brewing coffee. Put 30 grams of ground coffee into the prepared French Press.
Then add 500 ml of hot water at 93 degrees. When finished pouring, put the press on top.
*When pouring water, try to pour water hard and hit one edge to create a vortex, making the coffee powder wet all over.
4. Wait for the water to extract the coffee for 4 minutes.
5. Press the filter to separate the coffee grounds from the coffee water.
While pressing the coffee grounds filter, try not to press slowly. If you press too hard while pressing, the coffee powder will spread to the top.
6. Ready to serve.
